Well some times the language used in this weboard thai in thai prononciation and somes times in taidum and you right that's not easy for me. But i try, i can say i made some progress reading thai.
By the way how do you say thanks you in taidum in my family we udes to say " dai yon"
Dai like in thai " thum may day" = i can't do it

I noticed that some taidum words are so specific.
For example in my family we say
mak man ( tomatoes)( an like an nang su to read a book)
mak liu ( lime)
mak euad (pepper) (eaud like leuad =blood)

I too,but by the time and others. "Mak man" in my vilage will sound Mak man and Ma Man
,Mak euad is Mak euad and Ma euad (Chilli). For Mak liu I just heard. All of Them, some change to Thai language but sound and level of sound still be Taidum.

Long time ago i watched in french tv a show about birmany. They showed shan people, , when they talk the sound is so closed to taidum.
In my father family ( tai khao )their language is very different to taidum. Thay say mi for not ( bo in taidum and may in thai) and lot of words beguining with the S in tai dum are talked with TH like Thip thong ( 12 )( sip song in taidum )

Hi, I want to know a bout Taikhao and Taideang. I found words "Taikhao and Taideang", they were in Sip Song Ju Tai, Just a little. Where are they living now and how they are.

Tai khao and tai shan they are nearly the same accent, because he sings I understand has 90% tai khao us is not boudiste but tai shan yes and there are words thams for it mix themselves with their language
